I Need Blue
I turned around to see a masked man pointing a gun at me. It was just the beginning of a series of events, including robbery and abduction, which changed my life forever. I Need Blue, hosted by Jen Lee, is a podcast series featuring lived-experiences from survivors of life events. I NEED BLUE creates space for survivors of trauma to feel they BELONG, are LOVED, UNDERSTOOD and EMPOWERED! I called 9-1-1 and they provided me with life-saving directions to help my customer who was having a medical emergency. Law enforcement rescued us and caught the robber. Our first-responders face unique traumas every day. I NEED BLUE provides space for them too!

Everyone has a story, they just don't always have a place to share it. Welcome to I Need Blue, the podcast about to take you on an extraordinary journey where profound narratives come to life, one captivating episode at a time. I'm your host, Jennifer Lee, and I founded this podcast because I know there is healing and sharing. Each story you will hear shared on this podcast is a testament to our collective strength, innate ability to transform, and the incredible power of healing. Please remember, you are never alone. Please visit and share my website with those seeking connection and inspiration, www. ineedblue. net. I have not released an episode since March, and you probably are all wondering where the heck is Jen? Where is I Need Blue? What is going on? Since the end of last year, we decided to sell and move, and during that process, we helped out a family member. And then I also decided to study. Pass the test and become a mortgage loan officer. So now under my belt, I'm a survivor advocate, a safety advocate, and a homeowner advocate, and I couldn't be happier than to be able to help people in so many different ways, and I cannot wait to see the other ways God has planned for me to help as well. It's pretty amazing when you surrender, but anyway, after all the move, things getting settled, uh, getting used to and exploring and enjoying a new community, God has been knocking on my door and he said, Jen, it's time you get back and continue to create space for others who need to feel they belong, are loved, understood, and empowered to share. I truly believe that part of the reason behind the move is, and I actually journaled this, it told me you need to leave Brevard County. I was like, Oh, that's interesting. It didn't say I needed a new neighborhood or something like that. It was like, no, you need to leave this particular county. And it's not that there was anything wrong with it because I have tons of friends. It's very close to my heart. I'm so thankful for every opportunity that, um, the county has brought to me, but I think it was God's way of saying, there's another community that needs you. There's another community now that needs your message. And you have a whole slew of new people. Who have been eager to share their story, but just didn't know how to go about it or where to go about it. I truly do believe in my heart that that is what inspired part of my story. The move to all my loyal listeners. Thank you so much for your support and welcome back to those of you listening for the first time. I welcome you as well. You are special. You are wanted, you are loved, and you matter. In the upcoming episodes, you will hear courageous people who inspire me because of what they have been through and where they are today. I am looking for individuals who want to share their story. I create a very comfortable environment where we talk before you come and share your story. So I know, um, what you want to share, what you don't want to share, because at the end of the day, this truly is all about you. I Need Blue is all about you. Every one of you listeners, every one of you guests, you are what make I Need Blue possible. You, please understand, are not an episode to me. You are a person, and you are a friend, and you are someone that I will cherish forever.
